Fire Emblem – Sword of the Creator Cosplay Sword

This cosplay sword requires a lot of carving with my rotary tool, but it was a project I enjoyed, with the organic bone-like shapes.

The blade and crossguard of this Fire Emblem cosplay sword is made from EVA foam with a reinforcing rod through the middle, and the hilt is 3D printed with ABS and sanded and filled until not a hint of the 3D printer layer lines is visible.

The EVA foam is Hard-Lite EVA foam from Lumin’s Workshop, a stiffer and denser foam than standard HD. Perfect for making cosplay swords and axes.

This Sword of the Creator prop is airbrushed (and shaded) and then given a blackwash to reduce the shine and bring out those grooves and seams. The product photos show a gold and bronze Fire Emblem sword, as requested by the customer of this particular item. I can paint your cosplay prop with different colours.

This Sword of the  Creator cosplay prop is made to order. The foam sword is quite time consuming to make as I hand carve all the details with my rotary tool and then mark out the lines with a wood burner, before proceeding to sealing and painting. So please plan ahead if you need this for a convention.

Each sword will have minor differences, making your cosplay prop unique.
