Google’s humour and ongoing homage to events, people and places with their Google homepage graphic has always been interesting for me.
Now Google has a new feature with their Google Maps – Quest View. It will turn your map into an 8-bit old school top-down RPG view, based on the video game Dragon Quest. Street view is also stylised in a similar fashion – even the little Street View man is in the shape of a pixelated Viking.
While finding a park at my local shopping centre I witnessed a Foxtel car pull into a disabled car park slot. When I finished parking my own car and walked past, the driver was walking around on the footpath while on the phone. When I came back to my car some 20 minutes later, she was having a smoke and a chat to a few people on the footpath.
This photo was taken around 5.30pm on a Sunday, when the carpark a few metres away was mostly empty.
This car has now been sold. *sniff*
I have owned this car for over 7 years and it has been a wonderful gem. Before that it was owned by an older fellow and when I bought it, it was in immaculate condition – I was surprised and lucky to find such a well preserved car. 7 years and 150,000km of highway driving on, it is showing wear and tear but still has life left in it. It just needs a mechanically minded person to spend some time on it.
A perfect size for the long road trips or the shorter trips to crowded shopping center carparks. I have owned 2 Camry’s in my life and Toyota build quality, reliability and economy has never failed to amaze me. This car is so good that Holden had to take it and call it the Apollo 
Apparently the Camry is one of the few cars that can still be driven with a broken drive belt without doing permanent damage to the engine.
